I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
